"Faro2027" was a project in which Faro applied to become the European Capital of Culture 2027, with the support of the Municipality of Faro and the Algarve Region.
The European Capital of Culture is the most widely recognised project in the European Union. This is a complex process that does not end with the cultural programme of a city for one year.
