O filme retrata uma das campanhas científicas do biólogo marinho José Xavier em Bird Island. Este cientista faz investigação marinha terrestre num dos locais do mundo mais rico em vida selvagem. Esta viagem leva-nos a conhecer o ambiente desta região distante e a diversidade biológica que lhe é característica, perceber como é viver numa base de investigação na Antártida e que tipo de estudos se realizam lá. Perceber como os animais lidam com as alterações climáticas é o grande objetivo desta campanha.
The film shows one of the scientific campaigns of José Xavier, a portuguese marine biologist, in Bird Island. This scientist makes terrestrial marine research at one of the wildlife richer place in our world. This trip takes us to know the environment of this remote area and the biological diversity that is characteristic of her, understand how is living in a research base in Antarctica and what kind of studies are being conducted there. Understand how animals deal with climate change is the great goal of this campaign.
